Long time no talk!

27 November 2014

Hello everyone! I hate to leave my blog like that, no posts in weeks, but I've targeted my free time on building my personal website! Other designers need almost a year to finish and others just a few months, personally I still have no idea..! It's the usual problem, making something professional enough but also to present your style, and I like so many design styles, I'll probable change my homepage a million times before I'm done!

Anyways, in the meantime check this perfectly decorated home, this amazing ultra-modern clock and these lovely Christmas wrapping printables by my friend Lorelai!

1. Filling my fashion Pinterest board with street-style photos by Vanessa Jackman.
2. I'm thinking of buying an ebook and this DIY is lovely!
3. I love Lea Goren's patterns, I'm sure you've seen that cat dress (hers is the original cat print). The scarves are equally pretty and I loved the lookbook! (and the girl's hair color!)
4. Found this link through Miss Moss, Kate Miss' house is just beautiful!

New design work!

20 August 2013

It's been a while since I posted some of my latest work, I usually just add them in my portfolio! All these months I've worked with many lovely girls but I didn't took the time to post about them all.

So this one here is what I did for Poppy & Ollie, a lovely new blog (that needs some followers for sure!), run by Isabella! I just love this font I used for the header, it's called Janda Stylish Script and it's free! (The navigation bar links will be added soon now!)

The second one for today is Influence, a fashion & lifestyle blog run by the sweetest Stephanie! I'm sure you can tell the colors and general style are exactly my type! I especially loved the header with the little watercolor flowers and the post divider, which is something I don't know why I don't use more frequently since it's really cute!

Recent design work!

20 April 2013

This month has been rather busy (thank goodness)! The first blog design is for Katta Tubio's photography blog and the second for fashion+personal blog Harbour Master! I loved how the header images turned out in both blogs!

This one below is still on sample-mode because the lovely owner hasn't started blogging yet, but it's the latest wordpress blog I made in a lot of time so I wanted to share it with you! I especially loved the fixed navigation bar! View it here.

Latest design work!

2 April 2013

Babykatta:
Babbykatta is a photography blog by Katarina Tubio, speciallizing on babies and kids! She wanted something minimal and beautiful so here we are! I also made the blog's logo and you can see below three versions of it! Check the whole blog here!

Gilded Butterflies:
This one I just loved how it came out! Gilded Butterflies is a personal blog ran by Valeria, and as you can see the vintage/dreamy feel is evident! I made the header using the Bookeyed Suzanne font, a dreamy background I found on tumblr, some cute hand-drawn social icons and that typewriter font (via Google Webfonts) I can't get enough of! Did you see the tiny skeleton key with the ribbon in the bottom?! ♥

Mes Dames S/S13:
It makes me think of how spirng feels would feel in a nothern country, maybe it's because of the grey skies. And maybe because the brand is actually Swedish.

Days in the city:
Helene's new cross stitch is just lovely! And that knitted headband (which you can purchase throught Petit Tricot) - I just love the color!.

Packed Regrets and Stifled Memories:
collection of photographs featuring the suitcases left behind from patients at the Willard Asylum for the Chronic Insane. They belonged to patients from the 1910s to 1960s that passed away at the asylum. (If that intrigues your imagination watch the 2nd season of American Horror Story.)

Alexandra Grecco F/W13:
From the first time I stumbled upon her blog some years ago, and checked her clothes I just loved everything! I'm sure you're all familiar with that dress! I still drool over her past collections!

Dear Creatures Spring 2013:
One of my favourites brands. Check this photoshoot Katie of Skunkboy did for the Emerging Thoughts online shop, wearing Dear Creatures' new lovelies!

He's My Brother, She's My Sister:
I saw this band yesterday through a live streaming of a small festival in Austin, TX and I just loved them! I've been listening to their songs all day, and isn't the tap dancer-drummer with the lovely outfits the cutest?!

p.s. For those of you who wonder what to use after Goodle Reader shuts down, check Feedly! It's super easy to use and much nicer design-wise than other similar sites! You can choose which blogs you want to see on the main page, create categories and choose the layout of the way posts appear! Here's a snapshot

Accesorize & Monsoon Spring collection + press event!

14 March 2013

I've already told you how I was invited with other blogger friends, to take a look at the new collection of Accesorize and Monsoon! Joanna and Dimitra, the managers that organised all this were so kind and amazing with us and we had fun taking photos and trying on various accesories!  (Don't you just love this laser cut lace clutch?! I surely did!)

We were given the catalogues for the new collection that contains 5 different styles, Bloom, Debutante, Eden, Geisha and Indigo. It's Monsoon's 40 years anniversary so there are many India isnpired elements in the accesories (Monsoon had it's first collection inspired from India & Bollywood and it was first photoshooted there as well)!

When we were done checking the new collection, we were told to choose our favourite piece and we'd take it as a gift! Despite the huge variety of amazing accesories and shiny bling-blings that I loved, I really wanted a backpack! I had been eyeing the patterned (floral/aztec/stripes) ones since they came out, but in the end, I chose the one in the photo above that fits all seasons and all outfits and is made of such a soft leather-like fabric!
(This is the best I could do in taking some photos with it, the lighting in my room is awful. Really.)

A big thanks to the lovely girls from Accesorize Greece, it was lovely!

New blog layouts!

21 February 2013

First of is the layout I made for the blog of 'The Paraders' online vintage shop, owned by Rachael Hammon. It's a minimal design with a slight vintage touch in the sidebar font! I especially loved the header image links of the blog's categories! Visit the blog!

And second, the layout I made for the personal blog 'Bowie Bowie' (previously 'Battlecries & Champagne'), owned by Bonnie! This one is pretty minimal as well, with a quite wide main qolumn and a lovely typewriter font used in various places. Visit the blog here!

a bit late: Headers for Anne's Cake Party and Avenue M!

27 March 2012

It's been some months since I finished the headers for these two lovely giveaway winners, but somehow I totally forgot to share it with you!
Anne's Cake Party header: Simon Script font, sequin brushes from Pugly Pixel, and cake vector image via Google. Avenue M header: Roses vector image via Deviantart and Carolyna Pro Black font.

Both girls were great to work with! As for me, I'm pretty finished with my website, I still think it needs to look more professional but it always ends up looking more "me"..!
  Be sure to check:
The new photo templates by pugly pixel here,
Nadinoo's Blossom and Thistle dress,
Hannah's amazing shop entries (the photos are wonderful too!)
