December desktop calendar

1 December 2014

Wishing you a lovely December! Christmas is not that far, I'm really looking forward to get into the festive feeling! With this wallpaper I'm so daydreaming of snow, woods, reading fairy tales by the fireplace and listening to Christmas carols! Jut click at the top photo to get the full-size image!
(The beautiful stock photo is by Jay Mantri.)

Back in time

15 February 2014

"I mark the hours, every one, Nor have I yet outrun the Sun.
My use and value, unto you, Are gauged by what you have to do."

Can I be so excited about a piece of jewellery so much? Yes I can! It's not a plain piece of jewellery - even if it's only a cheap replica - but Hermione's time turner from Harry Potter and the Prizoner of Azkaban! I've been eyeing this in the Warnes Bros website but I couldn't afford it now, so even if this rusts in 1 month, it's still good enough for me!

Both the dress and necklace I got from dresslily.com who were kind enough to offer me freebies! That dress is just gorgeous, I'll make another post with it soon!

Outgoing mail!

26 December 2013

First of all, I hope you had a great Christmas day with lots of food, presents and mainly with lots of love and happiness! As for this post, I hadn't written any letters in months so I tried to make these as beautiful as I could! I loved the idea of sharing tea sachets and I need to dry some flowers for the next ones!

New room, ballet, books
and dead flowers

27 April 2013

So, as you can see I can finally show you my room! I don't see it as 100% finished yet, but most of it is done! My favourite spots - pretty obvious - are the wall above my bed and my desk with the lovely shelf above. And the fairy lights, at night I light some candles and switch them on and it's oh so beautiful!

As for ballet, call me stupid but I wear my shoes and leotard in my room and try to do stuff. Looks stupid but make believe feels always nice! This dryed bouquet was given to me by my boyfriend this last November. It was the first aniversary we spent apart and it felt sad but we made it up to each other the next month.

Lately I've been too busy with blog designs, and bought new books and I just love to have a pile in my bookcase waiting to be read!

Ava's Tale

20 October 2012

I've been following Marie Hochhaus for a while in flickr and browsing her portfolio, it's only sure that you will get blown away and captivated by her amazing and dreamy photography. Even though it's hard to choose only some of her photos, this last session for Material Girl magazine has got me  thinking these photos could only belong in a storybook. (I wish I knew the story behind it.)

Loeffler Randall handbags & bicycles

23 August 2012

I first got a glimpse of Loeffler Randall's handbags through facebook and I loved the classic satchel style of the rider bag! Plus the fact that it has straps attached so that you can put it on your bicycle makes it even more tempting, especially with fall coming!

"Stories you read when you’re the right age never quite leave you. You may forget who wrote them or what the story was called. Sometimes you’ll forget precisely what happened, but if a story touches you it will stay with you, haunting the places in your mind that you rarely ever visit." Neil Gaiman

A delicate flower that bloomed in the liquid light of the moon

1 February 2012

"She was rare, a perfect creation, a work of purest art. A delicate flower that bloomed in the liquid light of the moon. A nature not of this world, a personality like that of some biblical maiden, gracious and queenly."

Rachel Antonoff Spring 2012: Minnie Mouse & Wednesday Addams

25 September 2011

I found the article about Rachel Antonoff's collection in NYFW through modaCycle & Habitually Chic and I was instanlty attracted to the designs, the artwork, the hair and the whole mood. She claims her inspiration was Minnie Mouse fused with Wednesday Addams - she'd had me at this line!! These charecters may be tottally irrelevant but Antonoff managed to work the magic! When asked to describe a typical night in the Antonoff Manor,  fully illustrated by Alia Penner, she easily exclaimed “well, they’re getting ready to murder off their pets and they’re preparing their pet cemetery. I think they’re being really creepy in there.” Looking shy and innocent? I don't think so! Besides the whole idea behind the collection I think it is an amazing way to show off a collection instead of catwalk - more affordable for the designers, more creative for us!

"Bold. Enchanting. Utterly haunting!"
